Zardari is my prime minister, says Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Zardari was his prime minister.

He was responding to a question on the PPP and PML-N’s candidate for prime minister. “Mr Zardari is my prime minister,” Nawaz said. Asif Zardari, who was accompanying him, said, “And my prime minister is Mian Nawaz Sharif.”

But later, talking to reporters outside Frontier House after his meeting with Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui, Nawaz said it was up to the PPP to decide its candidates for prime minister, speaker and deputy speaker, because it was the largest party in the parliament.

He said nominations for the cabinet of ministers would be announced soon. app
